The Skinny On Layering Your Anti-Aging Products
This week I posted a mini video of me layering peptides and retinol, I called it the anti aging boost. I got quiet a few DMs asking questions. Here’s the skinny on layering anti-aging products.
•Can I layer anti aging products? Yes, start slowly, however if you have sensitive skin it may not be ideal for you.
•What products can I layer? This maybe a post in its self, but here’s what I don’t recommend. Do not mix retinol creams and exfoliants on the same night. It increasing your chance of skin irritation. Instead alternate nights.
•What product should I use first? A good rule of thumb is use thinnest to thickest. Pads and toners first, then serums, and moisturizer last. The richer product will form a barrier on your skin and prevent other other products from getting through.
•How many products can I layer? While there is no limit, personally I recommend stopping at 3 products. Piling on to many products can be time consuming and prevent proper absorption of other products.
